The draft revision of Australia's Strategy for Nature is open for comments

On 25 November 2016, Australian, State and Territory Environment Ministers agreed to revise Australia’s Biodiversity Conservation Strategy: 2010-2030 based on the findings of a review into the first five years of the strategy’s implementation.

 

The draft revised strategy available at https://www.environment.gov.au/biodiversity/conservation/strategy/draft-revision and is open for comments until 16 March 2018.

 

The webpage includes a survey for feedback and the option to provide a written submission. Please send submissions to nbssecretariat@environment.gov.au. The draft revised “Australia's Strategy for Nature 2018-2030: Australia’s biodiversity conservation strategy and action inventory” is now available online for public consultation. The draft revised strategy is the product of a working group of officials from Australian, state and territory governments, and the Australian Local Government Association.
