LVI Forum: People, Partnerships and Produce 25-27 October 2019 - One week to go!

Landcarers can be found in all forms and in all communities.  The spectacular program highlights the “People, Produce and Partnerships” that make for vibrant communities.  The Trafalgar based event promises to be a full weekend of inspiring presentations and farm/site visits that showcase the diversity and passion of local producers, consumers and communities across the West Gippsland area.

LVI Forums are designed to promote peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and learning both through formal sessions and informal networking opportunities and the local steering committee including Gippsland members council have been working hard to design what will be a fantastic event (event details here & registration here).

2019/20 Volunteer Grants - Now Open!
The intended outcome of this grant program is to strengthen community functioning by increasing participation in volunteering. Whilst this round closes in April, funding is capped at $66,000 per electorate so get in early! Click into news item for further details & eligibility for LVI Member Groups.

Communities Combating Pest and Weed Impacts During Drought Program - Biosecurity Management of Pests and Weeds Round 2 - Closing 5 February!
The objectives of the program are to assist communities manage the negative impacts of pest animals and weeds during drought, stimulate economic activity and facilitate local employment in the areas where projects take place. Whilst this funding round is for local councils, if your area is affected by drought you can approach your local council and collaborate! Click into news item for further information.

Community Conservation Grants - Closing 14 February!
The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife (FNPW) invites grant applications for conservation projects to assist in the protection of our native species, habitats, landscapes and cultural heritage. Grants of up to $10,000 are available for both field projects and education programs that have a direct outcome for nature conservation in Australia. LVI Landcare Voices Project - New Interviews!
Three new interviews from Fergus Irving, Frankie & Graeme MacLennan and Peter Jennings are now available online as part of LVI's ongoing Landcare Voices Project. So far, 19 interviews have been conducted, capturing the oral history of Landcare from across the state. Click into news item to listen.
