At the beginning of the week as part of the national 30 year anniversary celebrations, Ian Arney (LVI Committee Member) and Pam Robinson OAM (LVI Oral History Committee) attended an event in Wentworth commemorating the national launch. Read the full media release from the event here
Its 33 years since Landcare was launched in Victoria and as part of the celebrations, the LVI committee decided to create an archive of Landcare Voices. So far 16 interviews have been conducted and are available online, capturing the oral history of Landcare across the state. The Spring 2019 issue (#76) of the Victorian Landcare and Catchment Management magazine, which is a feature of the 2019 Victorian Landcare Awards, is now available online. VFF invitation for Landcarers to the 40th Birthday Celebration
On Thursday 21 November 2019, to coincide with National Ag Day, the Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) will celebrate its 40th Birthday with a gala dinner for all our members, guests, friends and stakeholders and has extended an invitation to Landcarers to attend at VFF member ticket prices. Community climate change initiatives to be explored at regional hearings

National Landcare Program: Smart Farms Small Grants Round 3 Now Open!
The purpose of the Smart Farms Small Grants round is to support land manager practice change that will deliver more sustainable, productive and profitable food, fibre and forestry business while protecting Australia’s biodiversity; protecting and improving the condition of natural resources; and assisting Australia meet its international obligations. Grants of between $5,000 & $50,000 (excl GST) for eligible projects of up to 2 year duration are available. Applications close at 11.00pm AEDT on 19 December 2019.
