A strong voice and strong support for Victorian Landcare
In recognition of the incredible work that has been achieved during the past three decades, Landcare Australia is curating a collection of stories that exemplify the Landcare ethos. If you have a story about a Landcare project or person that has made or is making a difference to the environment and local community share it by clicking here!
Landcare Groups and Networks are also encouraged to use the Landcare 30 Year Anniversary campaign as an opportunity to promote the environmental and community outcomes from your local landcare projects. This milestone year also provides a great opportunity to engage your local community to get involved in landcare by volunteering their time and skills.
Landcare Australia has also created a campaign kit for landcare groups to promote their landcare activities in their local community in this anniversary year. You can download a copy of the kit for your group by clicking here!
Landcare Victoria Inc. is also part of the Steering Committee for these celebrations.
Landcare remembers Bob Hawke
Vale The Hon. Bob Hawke AC. "When the earth is spoiled, humanity and all living things are diminished. We have taken too much from the earth and given back too little. It's time to say enough is enough. Today's announcements won't solve everything. But with the right mix of political commitment and community support we can ensure that our country is simply the best in the world. This is our country, our future." - Bob Hawke launching the ‘Decade of Landcare’, 20 July 1989. Landcare Victoria Inc. endorses the memorial statements from Landcare Australia and the National Landcare Network, acknowledging the vision of the late Bob Hawke for committing the Australian Government to support ‘Landcare’.
